Students Become Broadcast Journalists for a Day

What an incredibly exciting day our students had today as they stepped into the shoes of broadcast journalists, thanks to a fantastic visit from Tom Gayle. The energy in the room was palpable as our aspiring reporters embraced the challenge of creating their very own commentaries, drawing inspiration from the incredible achievements of the England women's football team.
Students were given the unique opportunity to work with professional broadcasting equipment, getting a true taste of what it's like to be behind the microphone and in front of the camera. From crafting engaging scripts to delivering their insights with passion and clarity, they rose to the occasion, showcasing remarkable talent and enthusiasm.
It was inspiring to see their creativity flourish as they analysed game moments, discussed tactics, and celebrated the power of women's sport. This hands-on experience not only deepened their understanding of media production but also ignited a spark for potential future careers in journalism.
A huge thank you to Tom Gayle for providing such a valuable and memorable experience for our students. We look forward to seeing what these future broadcast stars achieve next.
