• The academy target is 96% attendance or above - students who meet this target achieve higher grades and gain greater opportunities for the future

• Anything below this places your child at a serious disadvantage in their learning and long-term outcomes

• You must notify us of any absence before 8:50 am by calling 01782 882300 (option 1) or sending an email to attendance@coopstoke.co.uk

• A voicemail service operates outside academy hours

• Failure to report an absence may result in it being recorded as unauthorised

• Non-emergency appointments should not be arranged during the Academy day

• If unavoidable, you are required to provide evidence (appointment card/letter) so the absence can be authorised

• Unauthorised absences can negatively affect your child’s record and progress

• Holidays during term time are not authorised under any circumstances

• If you wish to request a leave of absence, a form (available from Reception or the Attendance Team) must be submitted at least four weeks in advance

• Unauthorised holidays will result in a penalty notice

• All students must be on site by 8:35 am, ready for learning to start promptly at 8:40 am

• Arriving late disrupts learning for the individual and their peers

• Breakfast Club is available from 8:00 am to support early arrival - breakfast club is totally free of charge to all students and we offer a range of breakfast items, including toast, cereal, porridge, juice and the ever-popular bagels

• Allow extra travel time during busy traffic and adverse weather
