Year 9 Scholars Shine in Youth Speaks Competition

We are incredibly proud of our Year 9 Scholars who recently participated in the SASCAL Youth Speaks Competition. These dedicated students poured hours into research and practice, culminating in a truly captivating presentation on the profound topic of "The Meaning of Life.

Their ability to construct a searing argument, quoting diverse perspectives from Plato and Darwinism to various theistic religions, left the audience in deep contemplation. Our students masterfully presented different points of view, demonstrating remarkable intellectual maturity and a sophisticated understanding of complex philosophical concepts.

The team worked seamlessly together, with a confident chairperson, a compelling speaker, and a gracious vote of thanks. While they did not take home the top prize, their fantastic research and delivery were nothing short of exceptional. This experience not only showcased their public speaking prowess but also their impressive ability to engage with challenging ideas. We could not be prouder of their hard work and the thoughtful way they represented our school.
