Celebrating Success as Scholars' Programme Launches for New Cohort
What a triumphant evening as we celebrated the Scholars' Programme Launch, welcoming the proud families of our successful applicants into the Academy! This year’s programme saw the highest-ever number of applications and featured incredible interviews, making the selection process intensely competitive. A huge congratulations to the 48 outstanding students across Year 7 to Year 10 who have been successfully selected for this prestigious opportunity.
Mr Richardson spoke with immense pride about the programme, highlighting how his original vision has been realised: our students now consistently progress to elite destinations like Eton, Stowe and Wellington College on fully funded scholarships.
Ms Williamson, Assistant Headteacher for Personal Development, then shared some exciting details about the year ahead, focusing on the unique opportunities for academic growth. This includes an inspiring visit to Parliament for our Year 9 students to see their Model UN learning in action, and a dedicated trip to Cambridge University for our Year 10 HPQ students to support the development of their advanced research skills.
Ms Williamson said of the event: "The Scholars' Programme is designed to go beyond the curriculum, immersing our students in real-world environments and academic settings that will truly stretch and prepare them for their future. We're so proud of our fantastic young people and really cherish opportunities like this to celebrate them." We look forward to a year of unparalleled achievement for our newest cohort of scholars.
