Scholars' Programme Visit to Parliament

Our Year 7 and 9 scholars recently enjoyed a truly fantastic trip to the Houses of Parliament, undertaken as a key component of their supercurricular academic programme. The educational visit was a tremendous success, offering a unique opportunity to witness the heart of British democracy firsthand.
A highlight for the group was undoubtedly the chance to step inside the House of Commons. Walking through the historical chamber provided a real-world perspective on the legislative process that they learn about in the classroom, giving them a profound sense of connection to the nation's political heritage.
Following their engaging time in Parliament, the students had a brilliant restaurant lunch. The afternoon was then spent exploring the area, beginning with a walk up Whitehall, past numerous government buildings, before concluding with a wander around the vibrant atmosphere of Trafalgar Square.
Ms Williamson reflected on the day: "It was a distinct privilege to spend my birthday with our Year 7 and 9 scholars on such a fantastic trip. They conducted themselves beautifully and it was a real pleasure to see their genuine enthusiasm for history and politics." We are extremely proud of our scholars for their exemplary engagement throughout this invaluable experience.
