Year 10 ASDAN Fundraising

A huge well done to our Year 10 ASDAN students, who visited Gentleshaw Wildlife Centre last Friday to deliver the results of their recent fundraising efforts. After months of planning and hard work, the group handed over a donation of £158.53.
The students have been incredibly dedicated to this project, managing various fundraising activities from start to finish. It was important for the group to see the project through to the end, and visiting the sanctuary provided a clear link between their efforts and the impact on the local community.
During the visit, the students took part in an animal "meet and greet," giving them the chance to see some of the residents firsthand. More importantly, it was an opportunity for them to learn exactly how their contribution will be spent—covering everything from specialized food to the general upkeep and medical care of the animals at the centre.
It’s been impressive to watch the students take such consistent ownership of this cause. They’ve demonstrated a lot of reliability and commitment over the last few months, and they should be very proud of the final total they’ve raised for such a worthwhile local sanctuary.
