Celebrating the Class of 2026
This week marked a significant milestone for our Year 11 students as we came together for their traditional Leavers’ Assembly. It is always a poignant time of year, but the overwhelming sentiment across the Academy is one of immense pride in the Class of 2026.
Throughout the entire summer exam season, our students have demonstrated a fantastic attitude. The focus, maturity, and resilience they brought into the exam halls every single day was exemplary. Facing GCSE examinations is a demanding milestone, and our Year 11s navigated it with absolute determination. They have been a credit to themselves and their families, and we could not have asked for more from them.
The Leavers’ Assembly provided the perfect opportunity to reflect on their five-year journey at the Academy. The event was filled with both laughter and reflection as we handed out a variety of staff and student awards, cast the final votes for the Prom, and shared thank you cards with the teachers and support staff who have guided them along the way. The afternoon concluded with the classic tradition of shirt-signing, leaving students with lasting memories of their time together.
While their formal lessons have now concluded, we look forward to celebrating with them one final time at the upcoming Prom, and we will be ready to welcome them back to the Academy in August for Results Day.
Well done, Class of 2026. We wish you every success in your next steps and future endeavours.
