Recognition Awards 2026

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the achievements of our staff following this week's Co-op Academies Trust Recognition Awards. The event was hosted in Rochdale—a fitting venue as the historic home of the co-operative movement—to celebrate the outstanding work happening across all the Trust's schools.

It was a truly exceptional evening for Co-op Academy Stoke-on-Trent, with five of our team members picking up awards. Out of hundreds of nominations from across the Trust, this is the highest number of awards the Academy has ever received in a single year, highlighting the incredible talent and dedication we have here in our school.

Our five fantastic winners are:

  • Support Staff of the Year: Miss Standring

  • Progress and Achievement Award: Miss Salem

  • Innovation and System Impact Award: Miss James (recognised for her brilliant work driving our Electives and DofE programmes)

  • Central Colleague of the Year: Mr Dale

  • Community Excellence Award: Ms Williamson

Bringing home five awards is a remarkable achievement and a direct reflection of the culture at our Academy. Each of our winners consistently goes above and beyond, putting our values into practice every day to give our students the very best support, opportunities, and care.

The entire school community extends its warmest congratulations and thanks to Miss Standring, Miss Salem, Miss James, Mr Dale, and Ms Williamson. We are so lucky to have you, and we are incredibly proud of our fantastic staff!
