  • Year 9 Students Take Part in STEM Workshop

  • Year 7's Robotics Challenge

    Two of our Year 7 classes recently took part in an exciting EKO Robotics Challenge, a hands-on workshop that introduced them to the world of robotics and coding. The workshop, delivered by Hyett Education as part of the Defence Nuclear Enterprise’s EKO program, aimed to spark students’ interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) subjects through practical, engaging activities. For two classes of Year 7 students, the challenge was a huge success, leaving them inspired and eager to explore STEM further.

  • An extra-oar-dinary rowing opportunity!

    Co-op Academy Stoke-on-Trent has embarked on an exciting new partnership with Trentham Boat Club, with the latter offering rowing taster sessions as part of the school’s PE curriculum. These sessions, designed to introduce students to the sport of rowing, have been met with enthusiasm from pupils eager to try something new and challenging. This collaboration not only aims to develop the physical fitness of the students but also introduces them to the discipline and teamwork that rowing demands.

  • A windswept debut

    Today marked the first official game on our new astroturf as the Year 9 boys' football team faced Biddulph.

    Unfortunately, terrible weather, with heavy rain and strong winds, disrupted our play, preventing us from finding our usual attacking rhythm. Biddulph capitalised on our uncertainty, racing to a 4-0 lead by half time.

    The weather improved in the second half, and so did our performance, we conceded two more goals. We had chances and could easily have scored three, but it just wasn’t our day.

    On the bright side, the new pitch was fantastic, and we’re fortunate to have it!
