We are thrilled to announce the launch of our upgraded AstroTurf facility at Co-op Academy Stoke-on-Trent. Our AstroTurf pitch has been transformed from a 2G sand-filled surface to a cutting-edge 3G Artificial Grass Pitch, complete with rubber crumb infill and a FIFA-quality shockpad.
We’re delighted to share that Year 7 students at Co-op Academy Stoke-on-Trent have made an outstanding start to their journey with us. Their enthusiasm, commitment, and eagerness to engage in school life have set a wonderful tone for the year ahead.

The publication of today’s GCSE results sees Co-op Academy Stoke-on-Trent's ‘Class of 2024’ celebrating their many excellent achievements, with a large number of students making greater than expected progress in a range of different subjects.
Last week’s Prize Evening culminated with the announcement of the winners of the Emma Murray Award for Kindness.

The winners of the 2024 Wicked Writers: Be The Change writing competition, a collaboration between the National Literacy Trust and the stage musical Wicked, as part of its Wicked Active Learning cultural and social education programme, have been announced, and we are thrilled that Luo Chen in Year 8 is amongst them.
Co-op Academy Stoke-on-Trent recently hosted the final of the 2024 First Give Programme.
Our Academy has partnered with the programme for 2 years, which helps create opportunities for young people to step into a volunteering position and reap the benefits of giving back to the community.
Held on International Women’s Day (Friday 8 March) 20 pupils between the ages of 11 and 13 from Co-op Academy Stoke-on-Trent travelled from the Staffordshire city with Avanti West Coast to Stockport, where they went to visit Alstom’s Longsight depot. Known as the Manchester Traincare Centre, the facility can accommodate almost 300 rail vehicles at one time – making it one of the biggest of its kind in the UK – and employs almost 300 members of staff.
The visit was part of Alstom’s wider national initiative for International Women’s Day – InspiHer – which saw 25 of its UK sites open its doors to female students in Years 7 and 8, with the aim of inspiring them to pursue a career in rail or science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).
On Friday 8th March, 4 brave students, Adam Dif, Qasim Ahmed, Luo Chen He and Rosalie Ellis embarked on the task to compete in the Maths Olympics finals against 10 other Co-op Academies.
