Community is at the heart of everything we do at Co-op, and it was fantastic to see students getting out and about in Tunstall and Middleport, exploring ideas and starting to shape their vision for the event. The project was entirely their idea, inspired by a Creative Careers Week workshop, where they learnt about the power of events in transforming communities.

This project is a brilliant opportunity for students to develop key skills in leadership, creativity, and teamwork, while making a real impact on the local area. Their enthusiasm, initiative, and commitment have already been impressive, and we are so proud of their enterprising approach.

We can’t wait to see what our Year 9 students design and look forward to watching their ideas come to life in the community. A huge thank you to Urban Wilderness and PiCL for supporting this fantastic project!
