Published 20/06/25Year 10 Life Skills students visited Newcastle College, part of NSCG, in preparation for submitting applications next term. The students who attended were exemplary and took advantage of being able to ask lots of questions. The students said "It was interesting. It helped our understanding of what we would like to do after school."
This was a lovely opportunity for our students to see the facilities, support, and the courses on offer at the college. They loved the open spaces and the inviting atmosphere, as well as some of the course opportunities available. This is the first of several visits, and will make the prospect of their next steps a lot less daunting for our students.
Mrs Canning, the trip lead and class teacher, reflected on the students' fantastic attitude during the visit, saying "I was really proud to see them speaking so confidently to college staff".
